NEW MNKY LOGO

Small history 9 January, to be honest, I don't remember this day anymore but it was the day Designmnky went live. I started an own page to share own designs, free content, paintings and so on. But why have I choose a monkey as logo? Well, I must say after a few weeks i saw that there are a lot of dyslexic monkeys out there like me who even write their brand with MNKY. But it wasn't the monkey I choose, it was more that it choose me. Sound a little bit dramatic, but at the end the monkey take a lot of places in my life even when my favorite animals are the red panda and the white shark. Earlier I was a goalkeeper, known for jumping like a monkey, even for easy shoots^^ Got called monkey in real life for being very spontaneous and hyperactiv. The monkey Wukong was my favorite League of Legends character for a long time. So after thinking of which animal would fit best to me was obvious for me:) [Click and drag to move] ​ Design Since I started with designing overlays and other stream interfaces I wanted to have something that represent gaming in my logo. It should be modern and easy without too much details in it. A lot of versions were made. And it took some time until I found something. But now, 7 months after creating I also developed as designer. I got a better feeling for good quality. Also I missed something what not only identifies me as Gamers also as Designer. Also I think that the old one doesn't have the quality I always try to deliver with my designs. Also my customers got more exclusive, so I didn't felt comfortable anymore with the old on. So I had to start a new one. And it crushed my head^^ Mostly of my designs, everything starts with an idea which exposes to not work. So after trying and trying and playing around I finally found a design which I believe fits perfectly for designing and gaming. [Click and drag to move] ​ Noob Analyze The new logo has a similar shape as the old one. But now as you can see it fits definitely better into a square shape. This is possible because the previous circle shape got cut by two big radii on the sides. So the ears got closer to each other. To get more harmony. The controller interface got rounded and both sides have the same size so it gets smoother. Also new is that the typical inner contour of a monkey got removed. I tried a lot to keep it, but it just didn't fit anymore to the outer shape and the color ring in the middle. It was very important for me to put in some colors into the logo. So it looks more like a logo for a designer. It also looks very cool and reminds a little bit for the trendy color smoke events or how they are called^^ Like in the new Pan movie coming out soon. The shape of the colors was very spontaneous. First I had just a normal color circle, but somehow it didn't look very well, when the face is complete colorful. In the Internet I saw a picture of circle which looked like someone just painted it filthy on the wall. I wanted a same effect. So I cut a hole in my circle and started to experiment with vortexes. The shining effect on the left is just for pictures and not official part of the logo. At the end I think I have now a very professional logo design. It seems like it would have the perfect amount of details. Not to0 much to get confusing and not to less to get boring. Even if the color vortex has a lot contours it's still looks harmonic.
